Fans of Netflix’s super hit Spanish show are waiting with bated breath for the fifth and final season, which has recently wrapped up production. Director Jesús Colmenar left fans emotional with his trip down memory lane on Instagram on the final day.

The director shared a picture with cinematographer Migue Amoedo, on May 12, and wrote a touching caption about how the show changed their lives. “The last battle has been the biggest and the hardest, and we have fought it to the last breath,” he wrote about the final season. Fans can expect yet another superb season, as Colmenar also wrote, “We wanted to give you the most epic, most spectacular, and most exciting season of all.”

Colmenar came up with the show’s concept along with screenwriter Álex Pina. The two also built their own production from the ground up, and this enthralling series was their first project under the banner.

The Spanish crime drama series, also called La Casa de Papel, has Úrsula Corberó, Álvaro Morte, Itziar Ituño, Miguel Herrán and Jaime Lorente as part of the cast.

The series revolves around a mysterious man, named The Professor, who recruits eight individuals. He trusts them to carry out his rather ambitious heist, which he plans to the T. The group works cohesively to turn the professor’s dream into a reality.

The four seasons of the thrilling series are already streaming on Netflix, and fans are waiting rather impatiently for the final part to air.
