Money Heist season 5: Here’s when the Netflix show’s trailer will release

Netflix dropped a surprise video featuring The Professor to inform fans of the trailer release date of Money Heist’s season 5. While Volume 1 of the fifth instalment will drop on September 3 on Netflix, the second volume is anticipated to release in December 2021.

The clip, which revealed that the trailer will release on August 2, had The Professor (Álvaro Morte) tied up with Alicia Sierra (Najwa Nimri), the pregnant cop, holding up the iron chain.

Fans were left with a major cliffhanger at the end of season 4, when Sierra was unethically charged by her department for the illegal imprisonment and torture of Rio (Miguel Herrán), but she still decides to nab the heist’s mastermind.

Post the release of the announcement video, fans of the show took to the Internet to share memes and their thoughts about the upcoming season. One of the fans shared a few snippets from the earlier seasons and captioned, “Loved it. Let the war begin!!”

Netflix India also shared the announcement video on its Instagram handle with a quirky quote that reads, “Is this checkmate for the Professor? Yeh dekhke humara chain kho gaya! Trailer arrives 2nd August!”
