The famous romantic song from Jab We Met is crooned in the melodious voice of Mohit Chauhan.
Monsoon is widely popular as the season of love around the globe. However, in India, the same 'love season' is celebrated on a whole other level. With rain, people remember their most romantic moments with someone, the confession of that love as well as the closeness with that special one. Tum Se Hi from Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer Jab We Met is one such track.
Even though only a small chunk of the whole song is filmed in rain, in the end, Tum Se Hi shares a special message in its own special language that only can a person in love would understand.
Crooned in the melodious voice of Mohit Chauhan, the romantic single begins by capturing Aditya's (Shahid) innocence as a young man who has just fallen in love but is yet to confess it to the girl, the world and most importantly to himself. Slowly he starts visioning Geet (Kareena) everywhere he goes and whatever he does.
During the 4-minutes long song, he talks to Geet, dances with her and even laughs with her in the dream sequence. Everything seems dreamy and lovely but somehow incomplete, while here comes the best part of the track, the rain. Aditya gets out of his car and walks to Geet and starts dancing with her in rain. Even though it's another dream sequence, he seems much closer to his girl and clearer about his feelings for her.
Throughout the song, our hopelessly romantic protagonist can be seen as calm and composed, while at the end, in the rain he finally opens his wings and accepts his love for the girl he met coincidentally on the train.
Tum Se Hi will always have a special place in the hearts of all the millennials who were just a bunch of teenagers when the song was released. Most of them must have realised their love for that someone special for the first time.
