The much-awaited release of the Daali Dhananjaya and Rachita Ram starrer Monsoon Raaga is just around the corner. With both the actors playing intriguing characters in the film, fans have been curious to watch their chemistry unfold on the big screen – following a few blips along the way and a change in the release dates, Monsoon Raaga is all set to release in theatres this Friday, on September 16.

And ahead of the theatrical release, the makers of the film have shared a small but special ‘Release Trailer’ to give a new peek into the world. What’s been touted as a musical romantic entertainer, Monsoon Raaga has Rachita Ram play the part of a sex worker for the very first time in her career with Dhananjaya, on the other hand, baring a rugged demeanour. The eventual blossoming of love and romance between Daali Dhananjaya’s common man and Rachita Ram’s Baanu becomes the core of the film.

Alongside, veteran actors Achyuth Kumar, Suhasini Mani Ratnam, and Yasha Shivakumar play principal parts in the film.

The same Release Trailer presents the quirky and unique imagination of director S. Ravindranath who sought to use the blend of rain and romance as the main thematic template of his film. J. Anoop Seelin’s music too is an important element of the film with the title itself referring to ‘raaga’ or the music of love and the team is said to have gone to great lengths to seamlessly include all the various elements into the narrative.

In a recent interview with OTTplay, Anoop Seelin spoke of the classical tone of the score of Monsoon Raaga and how S. Ravindranath’s script allows for music to be an integral and organic member of the mix.

The recent pre-release event of Monsoon Raaga saw the core team address the media and share a few anecdotes on the making. Dhananjaya’s co-stars from the upcoming gangster flick Head Bush, Vasishta Simha, Raghu Mukherjee, and others, too took the stage to offer their support to the upcoming release.
