Month of Madhu is the second collaboration between the likes of director Srikanth Nagothi, actors Naveen Chandra, Viva Harsha, composer Achu Rajamani and editor Ravikanth Perepu after their OTT hit Bhanumathi & Ramakrishna (out on aha). Their latest project is a relationship drama, whose newer additions in the cast include Swathi Reddy, Shreya Navile, Raja Chembolu and others.

The film released in theatres globally on October 6 and earned decent responses from critics and regular crowds alike. Nearly four weeks after its theatrical release, the drama is now out on OTT. Leading Telugu streaming platform aha acquired the post-theatrical streaming rights of Month of Madhu and decided to premiere the film on November 3 at 5 pm, after facing a few technical delays.

The story commences by offering a peek into the life of Madhusudan Rao, a drunkard man in his 40s, leading a directionless existence. Meanwhile, an NRI girl Madhumitha enters India to attend a family wedding. They bump into one another accidentally at an event and share each other’s views on relationships, life. While one is growing out of love, the other is curious about love.

The drama was in the news for its unconventional narrative structure, offering glimpses of Madhusudan Rao and Lekha’s past, how they came together, only to eventually fall part. Month of Madhu is bankrolled by Yaswanth Mulukutla under Krishiv Production and Handpicked Stories. Manjula Ghattamaneni, Raja Ravindra, Gnaneswari Kandregula, Uma YG, Ruchita Sadineni, Mourya Siddavaram, Kancharapalem Kishore are also part of the cast.

The album has three songs - Naa Tholi Chinnari Premo, Oh Na Madhu and Swetcha Ledu. Rajeev Dharavath cranked the camera for the film. Saregama acquired the audio rights of the film. After Month of Madhu, Naveen Chandra will be seen in the Diwali release Jigarthanda Double X, the sequel to Jigarthanda, directed by Karthik Subbaraj.
