The wait is finally over and the trailer for Moon Knight will finally be unveiled on Monday. The series, to be streamed on Disney+ Hotstar, features Oscar Isaac in the titular role as Marc Spector. The trailer will be unveiled during the NFL Super Wild Card matchup on Monday, much to the excitement of the fans. With Moon Knight, Isaac will be making his MCU debut, and that too, with a Marvel series.
Oscar Isaac's Moon Knight suit has finally been fully shown in a new teaser trailer. Early in the teaser, the front of the costume can be seen flashing over Marc Spector's typical outfit, and the teaser finishes with a look at how Marc puts on the suit. A brief image of Ethan Hawke as villain, who remarks that Marc Spector is chaotic, is also included in the footage.
While making the announcement, Disney+ shared a short teaser on their Twitter page and wrote, "Tune in for the world trailer premiere of the all-new @DisneyPlus original series, @MarvelStudios’ #MoonKnight Crescent moon during the NFL Super Wild Card matchup on @ESPN/@ABCNetwork."
Marc Spector, the alias Moon Knight, is a multifaceted vigilante with dissociative identity disorder who stars in the Marvel Studios original series for Disney+. In the series, the numerous personas that reside within him will be unique characters who will emerge against a backdrop of Egyptian symbolism.
Mohamed Diab is the director of the Disney+ action-adventure series.
Meanwhile, during an earlier interaction with The Hollywood Reporter, Hawke said he joined the show because of where he thought he was in his acting career and because Isaac and Diab were involved. He relished the creative freedom that comes with telling a lesser-known narrative in a series.
After introducing Moon Knight in the series, Kevin Feige announced in November 2019 that the character would move over to the MCU films.
The streaming date for the series is yet to be announced.
