Dune star Oscar Isaac is back! He has turned MCU’s saviour, Moon Knight. The name, of course, is a reference from DC’s Dark Knight aka Batman.

For the first time ever, MCU is going to explore a very dark side through Moon Knight. Oscar, in that role, has to face certain psychological decisions which are mainly seen in DC series so far.

In the recently released promo video, he is heard talking about the difference between reality and dreams. This is something we have seen either in Christopher Nolan films or the DC universe like Green Arrow, Flash or Legends of Tomorrow. The series appears to mainly be inspired from Inception, which was also about a world inside dreams.

Watch the intriguing teaser here:

The series goes a step further since it actually sees many Moon Knights, even after Oscar has walked out of the room. This level of surprise in superhero action has been common in the DC films.

One difference between Batman and Moon Knight is the colour of their costume. Batman aka Dark Knight wears a black costume because of the colour of the bat and him rising as a hero out of fear of the dark. On the other hand Moon Knight, as you guessed it, wears white superhero costume and cape. Apart front he moon reference, his reason for starting out as Moon Knight comes from a place of getting out of his own mind space and doing well for others in his city.

While Oscar plays the latest Moon Knight, Tim Altevers has already been as the superhero. He featured in a movie of the same name which released in 2019.

Moon Knight is one of the announcements of Disney+ day. The series will release on Disney+Hotstar in 2022.
