Moon Walk: Arjun Ashokan reveals role in Prabhu Deva's film is 'extreme' version of this popular character

Malayalam actor Arjun Ashokan, who is all pumped up over his impending release Chatha Pacha, has more exciting projects, including in Tamil. The Chatha Pacha actor, who proved his versatility with movies such as Bramayugam and Bromance, will also feature in a Tamil movie Moon Walk, which is led by the iconic Prabhu Deva. Arjun Ashokan recently revealed his character in Prabhu Deva’s film, saying that it is an ‘extreme’ version of his popular role from the hit movie Romancham .
What is Arjun Ashokan’s role in Moon Walk
Moon Walk is an upcoming Tamil film, which brings together the dance icon Prabhu Deva and the music maestro AR Rahman. The film, touted to be a musical fantasy film, is led by the likes of actor Yogi Babu. In a recent interview with FTQ with Rekha Menon, Arjun Ashokan revealed that he got called for the film because of his Romanchan character, Sinu Solomon.
"It is a character like the one in Romancham but more extreme. They called me after seeing Romancham. They tried to first put it same as the Romancham character," recounted Arjun, adding that he was not in favour of that.
"They then came with a bigger oddball character," he further said, adding that he only has a couple of scenes in the film. Arjun did not get to shake a leg with the dance icon, but expressed his excitement about sharing the screen with him.
Romancham is a 2023 Malayalam horror comedy film, which revolves around a bunch of youths in Bengaluru who play a game of Ouija board. Arjun Ashokan plays Sinu, who joins the lads at their house but spooks them with his quirky mannerisms and behaviour.
When will Moon Walk release
The Tamil film Moon Walk is slated to release in theatres in summer of 2026, though an exact release date is yet to be revealed. Apart from Arjun Ashokan, the film will also feature Malayalam actor Aju Varghese, along with Nishma Chengappa, Sushmitha Nayak, and Redin Kingsley.
On the other hand, Chatha Pacha: The Ring of Rowdies will release in theatres on January 22, 2026. The film features Roshan Mathew, Arjun Ashokan, Ishan Shoukath and Vishak Nair.
