Dr Micheal Morbius will see you now! However, the doctor who used to once save lives gets overwhelmed with this craving for some blood. The new marvel film Mobius following the journey of Dr Michael Morbius will be out in cinemas near you soon. The film is about the doctor looking for a cure to treat his rare blood diseases but accidentally, he develops traits of vampirism.

The makers have now released a trailer that shares glimpses of the doctor's transformation into a complete vampire with an overpowering thirst for blood and sharp teeth. The video then follows his journey as he tries to do right by the world as he constantly fights to keep his vampirism in check. The trailer opens with a scene of several bats flying out of a cave and Jared looking desperately for a cure, which first gives you the impression of your battle during the initial phase of the COVID-19 pandemic. What follows is the references and influences of other superhero flicks like Super-Man, Venom and Vampire Diaries. Jared as Michael Morbius reminds you of Damon from Vampire Diaries who decides to be good and keep his innate behaviour under control.

The trailer also shows that the story of the film is set in the same universe as Sony’s other Spider-Man and Spider-Man-adjacent properties. The video also shows Michael Keaton, reprising his role as Vulture from Spider-Man: Homecoming, confirming its connection with the rest of the MCU.

Directed by Daniel Espinosa, the film is based on Morbius, the Living Vampire by Roy Thomas and Gil Kane. Apart from Jared Leto and Michael Keaton, the film stars Tyrese Gibson and Al Madrigal. The screenplay is by Burk Sharpless, Matt Sazama and the music is by Jon Ekstrand, Louise Rosner. The film is produced by Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, Lucas Foster.

The new Marvel film will hit theatres on January 28, 2022.
