Most-anticipated Tamil theatrical releases of November 2025: Dulquer Salmaan’s Kaantha to Kavin-starrer Mask

With month of November here, a new set of titles will be hitting theatres this month. As 2025 draws to an end, the last but one month and December will be crucial to see how Tamil cinema will be closing its chapter. Some notable Tamil films are releasing in theatres, and here are the major ones.

Aaromaley – November 7

Aaromaley is an upcoming romantic drama starring Kishen Das, Harshath Khan, Shivathmika Rajashekar, VTV Ganesh and others. The film revolves around Ajith, a hopeless romantic who believes love is movie magic, but his life is a series of misunderstandings. After he joins a matrimony agency, Ajith locks horns with his pragmatic boss, Anjali, who believes love is pure logic. The film is directed by debutant Sarang Thiagu.

Kaantha – November 14

Kaantha is an upcoming period drama starring Dulquer Salmaan in the lead role. With Selvamani Selvaraj writing and directing the film, it is said to be based on the life of Tamil cinema’s first superstar, M. K. Thyagaraja Bhagavathar. Kaantha will revolve around the ego clash between an actor and director, with actors Samuthirakani and Bhagyashri Borse as part of the cast.

Kumki 2 – November 14

Kumki 2 is an upcoming adventure film which will be written and directed by Prabhu Solomon. With fresh lead actors and cast, Kumki 2 will star Mathiyazhagan in his debut, Arjun Das, Shrita Rao and others. Kumki 2 is not a direct sequel to the director's superhit 2012 film Kumki.

Mask – November 21

Directed by Vikarnan Ashok and mentored by Vetrimaaran, the film promises a dark comedy thriller backdrop in Chennai. Mask will feature actors Kavin, Andrea and Ruhani Sharma in the lead roles. With actors Charle, Ramesh Thilak, Kalloori Vinoth, and Archana Chandhoke also on the cast list, the comedy thriller is expected to feature Andrea as the antagonist. It has music by GV Prakash.

Middle Class – November 21

Middle Class is yet another tale from Tamil cinema, which speaks about the lives of middle-class families. From simple wishes to budgeting struggles of every day, Middle Class explores one such titular family whose wishes and needs are constrained. Munishkanth, Vijayalakshmi, Kuraishi, Kaali Venkat, Radha Ravi, Kodangi Vadivelu, Malavika Avinash, Vela Ramamoorthy and others are part of the film. It is directed by Kishore Muthuramalingam.
