In the first 3 months of 2025, well over 60 Kannada original films released in theatres, with only a stray few managing to register with audiences and draw some eyeballs. The rest came and left, leaving barely any trace. It is no wonder, then, that among these 60-odd films, only 5 have managed to make it to OTT so far. Choo Mantar is among the latest to hit OTT, while Forest, Royal, Gana and Nodidavaru Enantare also made it. UI was expected to be the last film on OTT in March, but it only got a television outing.
Bigg Boss Kannada Season 9 winner Roopesh Shetty’s first as a police officer, Adhipatra has him investigating the murder of a police inspector and the mystery behind his missing revolver. Released in theatres in early February, the film is said to be heading to OTT shortly.
