Most awaited Kannada OTT releases in July 2025 on JioHotstar, Netflix, Prime Video, Sony LIV, Zee5
Here's a look at the Kannada films likely to release across multiple streaming platforms in July 2025. From relationship dramas and suspense thrillers, these are the titles likely to drop soon

Post-theatrical rights remain a distant dream for a lot of Kannada films. In the last couple of years, only about a fifth or less of the total number of movies in theatres managed to make it to TV or OTT and the trend continues in 2025 as well. Amazon Prime Video and Sun NXT are the two platforms that have picked up most of the films that are streaming now, while Z5 took only 1. The buzz in industry circles is that JioHotstar has begun acquiring Kannada films but with JioCinema and Hotstar merger kinks still being ironed out, it will be a while before these movies make it to the platform.
Rudhra Garuda Purana
Actor Rishi’s Rudhra Garuda Purana, in which he played a cop investigating the disappearance of a local MLA’s son, has had a streamer in place, but no word on when it will begin to stream. The film had released in theatres in January this year and is expected to be made available shortly

Gajarama
The action drama led by Rajvardhan had him as an aspiring wrestler. Directed by Sunil Kumar VA, Gajarama paired Rajvardhan with Tapaswini, while Ragini Dwivedi was seen in a special song. Released in theatres on February 7, the film’s OTT streaming deal is in the works.

Bhuvanam Gaganam
Pramod and Pruthvi Ambaar headlined this travel-based relationship drama directed by Girish Moolimani. The film also stars Rachel David (Love Mocktail 2 fame), Ponnu Ashwathi, Achyuth Kumar and Sharath Lohithashwa and was one of the Valentine’s Day releases.

Debutant Ravikiran D and Chethan SP’s suspense thriller, produced by filmmaker Dayal Padmanabhan has Sukrutha Wagle and Dev Devaiah in the lead. The film explores the dangers of the dark web.

Suthradhari
Rapper Chandan Shetty’s debut as a leading man, Suthradhari was an investigative thriller in which the musician played a cop on the trail of a serial murderer. The film paired Chandan with Sanjana Anand, with Tabla Nani, Apurva and Navarasan in pivotal roles.
