Most-awaited Malayalam OTT releases in April 2025 on JioHotstar, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Sony LIV

Thrillers such as Asif Ali’s Rekhachithram continue to dominate the OTT space in Malayalam. As we look forward to April, another set of interesting movies are set to make their digital debut. Basil Joseph, who is certainly on a roll these days, will see his Pravinkoodu Shappu making its OTT debut on Sony Liv. Mammootty-starrer Dominic and the Ladies' Purse and Vineeth Sreenivasan’s Oru Jaathi Jathakam that failed to make their OTT releases in March are likely to drop on streaming in April. From Basil Joseph’s Pravinkoodu Shappu to Mammootty-starrer Dominic and the Ladies' Purse, here are the Malayalam movies that are expected to release on OTT in April 2025.

Pravinkoodu Shappu

OTT release date - April 11, 2025 

Basil Joseph, who is winning praise for his performance in Ponman, starred in the lead role of a cop in Pravinkoodu Shappu. The film follows the cop's investigation after a death is reported at a toddy shop. Sreeraj Sreenivasan’s directorial also stars Soubin Shahir, and Chemban Vinod Jose. Considering the praise coming Basil Joseph’s way after Ponman, Pravinkoodu Shappu is also expected to attract more viewers upon its OTT release.

Dominic and the Ladies' Purse (TBA)

Mammootty headlines Dominic and the Ladies' Purse as a detective who takes up a seemingly simple case. But as he digs deeper, he comes across some startling revelations. Gautham Vasudeva Menon directs this movie in his Malayalam directorial debut. Though reports said Dominic and the Ladies' Purse will release on Prime Video in March, it is yet to make its OTT premiere. 

Bromance (TBA)

Mathew Thomas and Arjun Ashokan joined hands with Sangeeth Prathap, Mahima Nambiar, and Shyam Mohan to narrate the fun tale of a bunch of youngsters who come together after one of them goes missing. Kalabhavan Shajohn also joins the motley bunch as they head to Coorg. The Kodava Wedding Song from the movie is especially popular among the Gen Z crowd. 

Ennu Swantham Punyalan (TBA)

Arjun Ashokan, Balu Varghese, and Anaswara Rajan lead this film, which has one or two surprises up its sleeve. A priest finds himself in a spot after a young girl turns up at his church residence. Things get further complicated when a thief too enters the picture. 

Daveed (TBA)

Antony Varghese as Ashiq Abu powers his way through this action-packed movie, which has him facing a Turkish boxer. Debutant director Govind Vishnu's film also features Saiju Kurup, Mo Ismail, VijayaraghavanJess Kukku and Lijomol Jose in key roles.  

Get-Set Baby (TBA)

After impressing the audience with thrillers such as Marco, Unni Mukundan chose for a family drama, titled Get-Set Baby with Nikhila Vimal. The film revolves around the life of IVF specialist Dr Arjun Balakrishnan. But the film did not create much waves in the theatres and remains to be seen if it finds any love on OTT.
