After the big October digital release of Lokah Chapter 1 Chandra, November is yet to have a major OTT release in Malayalam. But December promises to bring in more exciting films in the digital space, with the award-winning film Feminichi Fathima among the top probables. Pranav Mohanlal’s chilling horror thriller Dies Irae is also on the cards for next month's digital release. Here’s a look at the most-awaited Malayalam films that are expected to make their OTT releases on platforms such as JioHotstar, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Sony LIV, and ZEE5 in December 2025.

One of the most-asked questions on the digital space when the 55th Kerala State Film Awards were announced was where to watch Feminichi Fathima which fetched Shamla Hamza the Best Actress Award. The Malayalam film, helmed by debutant Fasil Muhammed, depicts the travails of a married woman who finally speaks up for herself after a simple request for a mattress is ignored by those around her. Feminichi Fathima is expected to make its digital debut in December, but the platform and the exact release date is yet to be announced.

Dies Irae: The Day of Wrath is the latest Malayalam horror film by Rahul Sadasivan which stars actor Pranav Mohanlal in the lead role. Rohan, a rich architect, who gets spooked by paranormal activities at his house after his former girlfriend is found dead. Dies Irae is lauded for ditching the usual horror tropes but still scaring the viewers. After its theatrical release on October 31, Dies Irae is expected to land on OTT next month.

Another young Malayalam actor Shane Nigam leads this film, which is a sports action drama. Set in a small town along the Kerala-Tamil Nadu border, the film revolves around young kabbadi players. The song Jaalakaari from the film became very popular. Preethi Asrani plays the female lead in the film. Balti made its theatrical debut in September 2026, but the film did not live up to the expectations.

The Pet Detective has Sharaf U Dheen in the lead, reuniting him with his Premam star Anupama Parameswaran. A youth, who decides to join his father’s detective firm, is at the centre of this film, which had a decent run at the theatres. Chaos unfolds as he comes across even the global mafia as he attempts to solve cases.

Vilaayath Budha is Prithviraj Sukumaran’s upcoming Malayalam film, which will hit theatres on November 21, 2025. Going by the usual one-month window of theatrical releases, the Jayan Nambiar directorial could make its digital release in December. But there is no official confirmation on this. Set in the hilly regions of Kerala, the film follows Doube Mohanan and his conflict with Bhaskaran Mash (Shammy Thilakan)

Another Malayalam film hitting theatres on November 21. Director Dinjith Ayyathan and writer Bahul Ramesh, who made the 2024 hit Kishkindha Kaandam, are back with another mystery thriller set in the woods. Young actor Sandeep Pradeep leads the film, which also stars Vineeth, Narain and Binu Pappu. Eko could also land in the digital space, but an official confirmation is awaited.
