Most-awaited Malayalam OTT releases in June 2025 on JioHotstar, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Sony LIV, and more: Thudarum to Sarkeet

Malayalam cinema is still celebrating Mohanlal’s Thudarum in theatres, even as Asif Ali-starrer Sarkeet and Dileep’s Prince and Family have entered the box office race. But several films are lined up for OTT release in June 2025. Mohanlal and Tharun Moorthy’s Thudarum is the big Malayalam OTT release that everyone has been waiting for. From Thudarum to Asif Ali-led Sarkeet, here are the most-awaited Malayalam films that are likely to release on OTT in June 2025.

Thudarum

OTT platform: JioHotstar, OTT release date: TBA

Operation Java director Tharun Moorthy became everyone’s favourite filmmaker after his Thudarum featured vintage Mohanlal at his best in recent times. Mohanlal stars as cab driver Shanmugham, known as Benz, who sets out on a path for revenge after his loved ones are harmed. Shobana makes a much-awaited comeback to Malayalam cinema and that too opposite Mohanlal in this film, which is another reason to watch out for this film on the OTT space.

Alappuzha Gymkhana (TBA)

Premalu star Naslen once again proved that he can shoulder an entire film as he joined hands with Khalid Rahman for Alappuzha Gymkhana. The Malayalam sports comedy film narrates the tale of a bunch of plus-two students who seek to get college admission through sports quota after failing to clear the exam. Saudi Vellakka actor Lukman Avaran, Ganapathi, Sandeep Pradeep, and Anagha Ravi are also part of this film, which promises a fun ride.

Bazooka (TBA)

Mammootty’s suave performance drives this action-packed thriller film Bazooka. Gautham Vasudev Menon plays the other lead role in this film as an IPS officer, who along with his team, is trying to hunt down a bunch of robbers. Deeno Dennis made his directorial debut with the Mammootty-starrer which failed to create much of an impression at the theatres, but is still awaited in the digital space.

Get-Set Baby (TBA)

Unni Mukundan shed his ruthless Marco avatar to slip into the garb of male gynaecologist Dr. Arjun Balakrishnan, in this film, which also stars Nikhila Vimal. However, Dr Arjun comes up with certain challenges and struggles to overcome them. Vinay Govind directed this film, which was unable to recreate the success of Marco.

Dominic and the Ladies Purse (TBA)

Another Mammootty-starrer, which is yet to land on OTT space, though several reports had earlier claimed that Dominic and the Ladies' Purse will start streaming on Amazon Prime Video. But the movie, which marked Gautham Vasudev Menon’s Malayalam directorial debut, is yet to make its OTT premiere, though it released in theatres in January to mixed reviews. Mammootty stars as detective Dominic, who tries to solve a simple case, only to unearth something bigger.

Sarkeet (TBA)

Rekhachithram star Asif Ali returns to the big screen with Sarkeet, which narrates the heartwarming tale between Ameer and a young boy in the Gulf. 1001 Nunakal director’s sophomore venture is winning much appreciation but is lagging behind in the box office race. The film will definitely win over more number of people upon its OTT debut.
