Now that even the big Diwali weekend is over, audiences are eagerly waiting for the digital release of the Kalyani Priyadarshan-starrer. But not just Lokah Chapter 1 Chandra, several other films are also gearing up for their digital debut, including Arjun Ashokan’s Thalavara and Vineeth Sreenivasan-helmed Karam. Young actor Shane Nigam-starrer Balti is also awaited in the digital space. Balti is Shane Nigam’s latest film, which revolves around a bunch of Kabaddi players along the Kerala and Tamil Nadu border. Preethi Asrani, best known for the Tamil film Ayothi, plays the female lead in the film, which is trending on social media for its song Jaalakaari. The film has music by the young sensation Sai Abhyankkar, who has also sung the romantic track with Sublahshini. Shanthanu Bhagyaraj, Malayalam actor-filmmaker Alphonse Puthren and Poornima Indrajith are also part of the film.
Karam - TBA
Malayalam actor-filmmaker Vineeth Sreenivasan returned to the genre of thriller after a long break with Karam, which starred Noble Babu Thomas, who had also penned the story. But the action-packed film, which revolved around former officer Dev Mahendran facing many dangerous challenges in a foreign country, failed to impress audiences and was a total dud at the box office. Ivan Vukomanović, the coach of the ISL club Kerala Blasters, also appeared in a key role along with Manoj K. Jayan and Reshma Sebastian.

Arjun Ashokan leads this poignant film, which revolves around Jyothish who is Panda to everyone because of the skin condition vitiligo. The film won much appreciation for its sensitive portrayal of a person who faces much prejudice because of this. The film also features Revathy Sarma as his love interest Sandhya. The film is backed by noted filmmaker Mahesh Narayanan and helmed by Akhil Anilkumar

Nivin Pauly is set to make his web series debut with Pharma. But the Malayalam web series is yet to announce an official release date. Rajit Kapur stars in the lead role in the series, which follows a youth in the pharmaceutical industry. The series, which was earlier expected to release in September and then later in October, got pushed. There are speculations that Pharma did not meet its Diwali release date, as JioHotstar is gearing up for the big release of Lokah Chapter 1 Chandra.
