2026 is a big year for digital platforms, as several popular series are returning with their new seasons this year. January alone will see the return of Bridgerton, The Night Manager, and The Pitt. The later months boast the returns of shows like Euphoria, House of the Dragon, Only Murders in the Building, and more. The Pitt Season 2 (January 9)

Noah Wyle's Emmy-winning medical drama is returning with the second chapter of the high-tension adventure of the doctors and medical staff who are going to spend another round of the intense 15-hour shift on the 4th of July, American Independence Day. Freedom at Midnight Season 2 (January 9)

This Indian historical drama is returning with an in-depth look at the official partition of India-Pakistan in 1947, focusing on the border lines that were drawn to separate the two nations, along with more research on West and East Bengal (now Bangladesh). The Night Manager Season 2 (January 11)

Tom Hiddleston’s espionage thriller is returning after a decade-long hiatus. The Night Manager was released in 2016, and now Season 2 is coming this month. Actors like Diego Calva, Alistair Petrie, Olivia Colman and Douglas Hodge have joined him in the second chapter of the high-stakes action entertainer that's packed with new mysteries.
Tell Me Lies Season 3 (January 13)

Grace Van Patten and Jackson White return for more romance and dark thrills with Tell Me Lies, where the story follows a toxic relationship that begins in their college days and spans eight years, exploring themes of betrayal, manipulation, obsession, identity crisis and dramatic twists. The Bridgerton siblings are set to return as their beloved brother Benedict finally mulls marriage. Actress Yerin Ha has been cast in for the lead role of Benedict Bridgerton's love interest. While Luke Thompson will reprise his role as Benedict, other cast members returning are Jonathan Bailey (as Anthony Bridgerton), Luke Newton (as Colin Bridgerton), Claudia Jessie (as Eloise Bridgerton), Hannah Dodd (as Francesca Bridgerton) and Ruth Gemmell (as Violet Bridgerton).
The Boys Season 5 (April 8)

The popular superhero series is gearing up for its final chapter this April 2026. The Boys comes to an end with Season 5 showcasing emotional sacrifices, the potential return of Maeve, and major shifts, although the universe will continue with its spin-off Gen V. The Boys Season 5 hints at a final showdown between Homelander and Butcher, along with his Supes from Gen V making a special appearance, ready to unleash a supe-killing virus, forcing a final war.
The Witcher Season 5 (TBA)

Netflix has renewed the fifth installment of The Witcher, after releasing Season 4 in October 2025. However, the release date has not been announced yet, and is expected to arrive in mid-2026. Liam Hemsworth, who replaced Henry Cavill as The Witcher in Season 4, will be returning for Season 5 as well, along with Anya Chalotra, Freya Allan, Joey Batey, Eamon Farren, Laurence Fishburne, Mahesh Jadu and Bart Edwards, also coming back to the fantasy drama.
Only Murders in the Building Season 6 (TBA)

Selena Gomez, Martin Short and Steve Martin are returning for the sixth chapter of the investigative comedy drama, just after ending the fifth chapter in October 2025. The trio is expected to head to London for their next big case, focusing on the murder of their rival podcaster Cinda Canning, who was found dead by the end of Season 5, potentially linking to a royal mystery and a red-haired woman and a transatlantic podcasting adventure with Agatha Christie vibes.
House of the Dragon Season 3 (TBA)

The prequel to Game of Thrones is returning with the third chapter in mid-2026. Emma D'Arcy, Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Ewan Mitchell, Tom Glynn-Carney, Steve Toussaint, Rhys Ifans and Fabien Frankel are returning to reprise their lead roles.
