Most-awaited Tamil OTT releases in September 2025 on JioHotstar, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Sony LIV, and more: Coolie to House Mates

While we are halfway through August, this month has not seen any major releases apart from Rajinikanth’s Coolie, which is currently running in theatres. But come September, a fresh batch of releases is awaiting to hit the OTT space, and here are some of them.

House Mates

House Mates is a horror fantasy drama starring Darshan, Kaali Venkat, Arsha Chandini Baiju, Vinodini, Dheena, Abdool Lee, and Master Henrik in prominent roles. Raja Vel has directed the film. The film revolves around two middle-class families who get connected to each other in a bizarre turn of events, and realise that they are living in the same house but are from different timelines.

Coolie is an action thriller film directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and stars Rajinikanth in the lead role. The film revolves around a mansion owner who comes to know of his friend’s death and goes after knowing the reason, leading him to a smuggling kingpin. Coolie features Nagarjuna and Soubin Shahir as antagonists, Upendra and Aamir Khan in cameos, and others such as Sathyaraj, Shruti Haasan, Rachitha Ram, and Kanna Ravi in supporting roles.

Love Marriage

Love Marriage is a romantic family drama helmed by debutant Shanmuga Priyan and stars Vikram Prabhu in the lead role. The film is a remake of the Vishwak Sen-starrer Telugu movie, Ashoka Vanamlo Arjuna Kalyanam. It is about a man past his prime who is looking for a bride. In one such alliance, he almost gets married only for the bride to elope the day before the wedding. Sushmitha Bhat, Meenakshi Dinesh, Aruldoss, Ramesh Thilak, Gajaraj, and others are part of the cast.
