Mothevari Love Story OTT release date: When, where to watch Anil Geela's new series

ZEE5 is backing young talent and is producing original content in the Telugu OTT space. Next in line is Motevari Love Stroy, a hilarious village drama set in the heartland of Telangana. The special aspect of the series is that popular YouTuber Anil Geela is playing the main lead in this series, which has been produced by noted director Madhura Sreedhar.

Varshini Reddy plays the female lead in the series, which has been shot entirely in a small town in Telangana. Village Show Movies, which was producing YouTube videos, has finally turned into a production house and has produced this hilarious web series, which has seven episodes in total. 

The entire story happens during a single wedding where misunderstandings creep in and a hilarious situation erupts, creating chaos at the wedding. All this is showcased in a very humorous way, say the makers.

Siva Krishna has penned the script and is also directing the project, made on a very low budget. The series is all set to stream on ZEE5 and OTTplay Premium from August 8, 2025.

Speaking about the show, lead actor Anil Geela stated that while there wasn’t much scope to showcase content through YouTube videos, they were just waiting for a chance to make a film or web series on a large canvas. Anil adds that it was Madhura Sreedhar who came on board as a co-producer and did not even listen to the script before okaying the web series in a single sitting.

Once the producer was locked, the makers took the series to ZEE5, who approved it right away. The makers are confident that the hilarious web series will be one of its kind and will impress one and all.

Adding to this, producer Madhura Sreedhar stated that he had been watching Village Show videos on YouTube for a long time, and always wanted to work with Anil Geela. Now that he got a chance, Sreedhar said he loved the script and is happy to be part of the project.

Anand Deverakonda launches Zee5's Mothevari Love Story

Moti Vari Love Story was launched on a grand note today by Anand Deverakonda, the young actor from Tollywood. Speaking about the series, he stated that he always used to love Village Show comedy on YouTube while he was in the US. Now that they are making a film, he is very excited to see what the young team has created.

The first look of the series showcases Anil Geela dressed as a girl, standing beside his would-be wife. This has created an instant buzz on the internet, and everybody is eager to see what this rural Telangana-based web series is all about. More details about the project will be out soon.
