Mowgli is Sandeep Raj, of Colour Photo fame, new film, which hit the screens on December 13, 2025. As the film was released alongside Balakrishna’s Akhanda 2, it was pushed back a bit at the box office. However, the latest update is that the film has landed in the safe zone.

According to the tracking portal Sacnilk, Mowgli has made Rs 4 crore worldwide to date. Though this figure may seem low, the film’s modest budget and the sale of non-theatrical rights have ensured that the makers are in the safe zone.

ETV Win has bagged the digital rights to the film for a fancy price. Apart from this, the dubbing, audio, and satellite rights have fetched the makers a handsome amount.
As the film was made on a tight budget, Mowgli has turned out to be a profitable venture for the makers. The film took a dull start at the box office, and things worsened due to negative word of mouth. Speaking about this, lead actor Roshan stated that excessive criticism of the film significantly affected the collections.
Sandeep Raj, who won a National Award for his debut film, chose a simple and routine love story for his second outing. Mowgli revolves around a young man who dreams of becoming a cop.
He falls in love with a mute girl but lands in trouble when a crazy cop, played by Bandi Saroj Kumar, enters his life and creates havoc. His intense performance stands out as one of the highlights of the film.
Mowgli was awarded an ‘A’ certificate by the censor board. Now that the film is almost done with its theatrical run, all eyes are on its OTT release, which is scheduled for the first week of January 2026. Once the film premieres on OTT, it can be streamed on OTTplay Premium.
