Mowgli out on OTT: Where to watch Roshan Kanakala's romantic drama online

Mowgli is Roshan Kanakala's new film that hit the screens on December 13, 2025, and ended as a huge flop at the box office. Sandeep Raj of Color Photo fame directed the film, which is a romantic drama backed by the makers of The Raja Saab on a decent budget.

We at OTTplay have already revealed that ETV Win has bagged the digital rights to the film for a fancy price and will stream Mowgli within three weeks of its theatrical release on January 1, 2026. According to the latest update, Mowgli is now available on OTT and can also be streamed on OTTplay Premium. 

Roshan Kanakala played the main lead in this film, and Mowgli is his second movie after Bubblegum, which also ended as a huge flop at the box office. Mowgli is a romantic drama that was panned by critics for its ordinary story and spineless direction by Sandeep Raj. The dull narrative and the lack of depth in emotions is one of the main reasons for the film to be rejected by the general audience.

He made tall claims ahead of the film's release, but it did not live up to the hype. As Sandeep won a National Award for Color Photo, there was decent buzz for Mowgli, but it did not work for the young director, who waited five long years to make his second film. His career is now in the doldrums, and it remains to be seen what kind of film he comes up with next.

Roshan Kanakala’s career is also struggling. He plays an orphan who dreams of becoming a cop, but things take a wild turn when he falls in love with a mute girl, played by Sakhi Madholkar, while a crazy cop pursues her.

Popular director Bandi Saroj Kumar plays the main villain in the film, which was made on a decent budget. His performance is one of the major highlights of the film, and it is due to his intense acting and bold dialogue that Mowgli got an A certificate from the censors. Thanks to the OTT deal, Mowgli landed in a safe zone.
