Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway: Shah Rukh Khan congratulates Anirban Bhattacharya, Soumya Mukherjee, and others

Rani Mukerji’s grand comeback, Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway, was released on March 17. Directed by Ashima Chibber, the film delves into the real-life events of Sagarika Chakraborty whose children were taken away from her by the Norway authorities. Along with Rani Mukerji, the legal drama also features Anirban Bhattacharya, Jim Sarbh, Soumya Mukherjee, and others. The film has been getting mixed reviews from critics so far. 

Meanwhile, Sah Rukh Khan took to his social media to congratulate the entire team of Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway. In his Tweet, he mentioned Anirban and Soumya, along with the other team, members. “What a tremendous effort by the whole team of Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway. My Rani shines in the central role as only a Queen can. Director Ashima shows a human struggle with such sensitivity. Jim, @AnirbanSpeaketh , #Namit, #SaumyaMukherjee, #BalajiGauri all shine. A must watch,” he tweeted. 

It was certainly a big boost for the actors from Kolkata. While Anirban has been clearly enjoying the appreciation, Soumya is still in disbelieve.

In the film, Anirban is seen as the husband of Rani Mukerji. In the real event in Sagarika’s life, her custody battle created a rift between her husband and herself. Soumya plays the character of Rani’s brother-in-law. His character is grey. Soumya is usually seen in positive characters so far. In an interview with the media, he said that he is speechless. He admitted that he is a fan of Shah Rukh Khan. “I used to stand in front of Mannat during my work visits in Mumbai. I can’t believe that he names me in his Tweet,” he said. Soumya further added that it is this gesture of Shah Rukh Khan that makes him great. “He could have not named me. And yet he put my name there. He has always been my inspiration. This will encourage me to work harder,” he added.
