Mrunal Thakur made her first appearance in front of Telugu audiences to promote her Telugu debut Sita Ramam in Hyderabad today. In the Hanu Raghavapudi directorial produced by Swapna Cinema, she shares screen space with Dulquer Salmaan. She had come here to launch the second single of the war-romance, Inthandham, in an engineering college and opened up on her Sita Ramam experiences.

"In the film, I play a girl named Sita Mahalakshmi who falls in love with Ram, played by Dulquer. While Sita is very calm in the film and Ram is very playful, and talkative, we were total opposites off the screen. I was always the one talking and Dulquer was silent and shy. I had to crack jokes to make Dulquer laugh while he would be silently sitting in a corner. I feel blessed to have had a co-star like him, who's very much into the moment when the camera switches on," Mrunal said.

Quoting an instance of Dulquer's professionalism, she added, "In Kashmir, when the temperature was very low, we were shivering and I was in sari, Dulquer was delivering his lines, running in the streets with such great dedication without any complaints. Dulquer is such a humble, sweet and quiet gentleman and my working experience with him was amazing. I really miss Dulquer's company here today and I promise to bring him and Rashmika here for the next time and celebrate our film."

She labelled Prabhas and Vijay Deverakonda her favourite Telugu heroes and expressed her desire to be directed by SS Rajamouli. Mrunal tried to speak Telugu in front of college students and was game to answer several cheeky questions posed by them. Sita Ramam will release in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam simultaneously on August 5. The film has music by Vishal Chandrasekhar, cinematography by PS Vinod and Shreyaas Krishnan and is edited by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao.
