Mrunal Thakur on learning Telugu for Sita Ramam: Took it upon myself to nab the diction

Even though Mrunal Thakur's film roles have tended to be quite brief, she has nonetheless been able to draw praise from both critics and fans for her performances. The actor was up for the challenge when given the character of Sita in the Telugu film Sita Ramam, despite not seeking clichéd roles.

She stars alongside Dulquer Salmaan in the film directed by Hanu Raghavapudi. During an interaction with Mid Day, Thakur said that she has always been attracted to India's interior. The personalities created by the individuals who inhabit these locations are likeable, fascinating, complex, and, most importantly, authentic. The actor is always up for a challenge, and it gives her comfort that people adore the Sita persona she has taken on. Thakur decided to take it upon herself to get the dictionary. She decided to receive diction instruction because she constantly tries to put herself in her character's shoes.

Thakur began his pre-season in February 2021 under the direction of coach Suvarna Majji. They had a lengthy conversation about how she wanted to study it. On the first day, the actor gave Majji a general overview of the project. They practised pronunciations, focusing on slang phrases in particular. She practised with him for two hours every day and put in extra hours to get it right.

Majji feels that Thakur can carry off other Telugu films because she is so proficient in the language. The actor not only used the proper method, but she also recognised the appropriate body language to use while expressing various ideas. She asked for his assistance even during the shoot and took additional classes to make sure everything went properly.

Hanu Raghavapudi is the writer and director of the upcoming love drama film Sita Ramam in Telugu. Vyjayanthi Movies and Swapna Cinema are the producers. The movie stars Rashmika Mandanna, Sumanth, Mrunal Thakur, who is making her Telugu debut, and Dulquer Salmaan.

The film has been set for an August 5, 2022, release.
