Mrunal Thakur's award-winning short film, Jahaan with Avinash Tiwary to premiere on Amazon miniTV

Popular actor Mrunal Thakur's award-winning romantic thriller film, Jahaan is making its way onto the digital platform. The film, directed by Celina John, also features Avinash Tiwary in the lead role.

The short film's strong narrative and powerful on-screen performances have been heaping praises and several awards. It has bagged the Best Producer Award at the Hollywood Gold Awards, The Gangtok International Film Festival and The World Film Carnival and also the Women’s Cinema Collection – Director at the Bengaluru International Short Film Festival. It has also featured in the official selection at The Standalone Film Fest & Award, The New York Flash Film Festival and Sessions by Lift-Off Global Network. 

The film is about a young married couple, Ghazal and Inder, who are head over heels in love with each other. But things get quite disturbing when an estate broker tries to find a new tenant for the house, they are emotionally attached to. Ghazal and Inder seem to have no intention to let go of the house.

The romantic thriller drama will premiere on March 17 on Amazon miniTV on Amazon’s shopping app. The film is produced by Unbox Films. The producer Sanjay Sharma from Unbox Films says Jahaan tells an innocent, yet riveting love story that will surely entertain audiences. "Jahaan’s premiere on Amazon miniTV will ensure that this film travels across the length and breadth of the country. Audiences are in for a treat for free!” he added in his statement.

Girish Prabhu, head of Amazon Advertising, is confident that Jahaan will resonate well with the audience and will leave a lasting impression on them. "We are excited to present this short film in collaboration with Unbox Films to our viewers across India for free on miniTV Amazon’s shopping app,” he said. 

Jahaan will be out on Amazon miniTV on the Amazon shopping app on March 17.
