With the fourth instalment of Marvel Studios' Ms. Marvel, which is currently available for streaming on Disney+ Hotstar in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam, multi-hyphenated artist Farhan Akhtar made his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut. Indian Marvel fans have given his portrayal of Waleed, the head of the venerable order known as the Red Daggers, high praise for his work.
Farhan compared joining the MCU to becoming a superhero. He shared his initial thoughts after learning he had been chosen for Marvel Studios' Ms. Marvel. The actor said that when someone informs them that they will be a part of the MCU, they instantly begin to feel like a superhero. With his cape just out of reach, Farhan stood like a superhero.
Additionally, the actor responded to some Marvel trivia questions. He said that, as far as his recollection serves him, Iron Man was the first MCU film he watched, in response to the question regarding the first MCU movie or TV show he had seen. When asked who he would like to collaborate with in the future, Farhan responded that it would be Iron Man. Even though he is aware that Iron Man/Tony Stark is sadly no longer with us, he would want it to be him. The actor admits that, despite being a huge Iron Man fan, he thinks Doctor Strange's abilities are incredibly cool and would want to have them.
When asked to name three female Avengers in the span of ten seconds, Farhan responded right away with Ms. Marvel, Captain Marvel, and Black Widow. In the rapid-fire questions, he also responded to the identities of three MCU antagonists and six infinity stones.
Ms. Marvel is a coming-of-age tale about a Muslim teen who learns that she has superpowers and that her family's history dates back to the 1947 India-Pakistan Partition, and it stars Pakistani-Canadian debutante Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan. Growing up in New Jersey, Kamala was an ardent gamer and a voracious fan-fiction writer. She has a huge imagination and is a superhero megafan, especially of Captain Marvel. Adil El Arbi, Bilall Fallah, Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, a two-time Oscar winner in the short documentary category, Meera Menon, and others have directed the series, which is nearing its conclusion.
The series' supporting ensemble, which includes Farhan Akthar, Mohan Kapur, Matt Lintz, Yasmeen Fletcher, Zenobia Shroff, Saagar Shaikh, and Rish Shah as Kamran, is diverse and exceptionally skilled, in addition to Iman and Farhan.
