The much-awaited children’s film marks the debut of Makkal Selvan’s daughter, Sreeja Vijay Sethupathi in the lead

Vijay Sethupathi’s Mughizh has been making rounds on social media for the past few days. Fans were enthralled when the latest single of the movie, Maayakkara dropped on the internet. Now, there’s even more exciting news for the Makkal Selvan fans for they get to catch his daughter, Sreeja Vijay Sethupathi in the 62-minute children drama on big screens, this October 8.

Mughizh is touted to be a heartwarming children's movie, which centres around the friendship between a girl and her pet beagle. It is the joyous tale of a father, mother and daughter and the happy moments they spend with their dog. We will get to see Vijay Sethupathi portray the role of a father while Regina Cassandra plays the mom. Their on-screen kid will be portrayed by the off-screen kid of the Makkal Selvan, Sreeja Vijay Sethupathi. This marks her debut on big screens.

The trailer dropped on the net earlier and shone a light on the characters of Vijay Sethupathi and Regina Cassandra discussing their pet beagle, whose loss will be taken very hardly by the family, especially their daughter who has developed a special bond with the dog. Their bittersweet conversation was accompanied by the happy moments spent by the family. Fans are excited to catch the performance of Sreeja Vijay Sethupathi in her debut film. They’re also intrigued to find out what happens to the adorable beagle in the movie.

Mughizh was earlier being planned as a web film but the makers’ decision to bring it out in theatres has made the fans ecstatic. Backed by the Makkal Selvan’s production house, Vijay Sethupathi Productions or VSP Productions, the movie is helmed by Karthik Swaminathan. Sathya Ponmar has cranked up the cameras for the upcoming children drama and Revaa has composed the music.

Don’t forget to catch Vijay Sethupathi’s Mughizh in theatres on October 8.
