Mukul Dev was all to himself in his last days and was admitted in ICU where he breathed his last, Vindu Dara Singh has revealed

Actor Mukul Dev is no more. He breathed his last on May 23 while admitted in the ICU. Known for his works in Hindi, Punjabi and South Indian film industry, the Yamla Pagla Deewana actor kept to himself in his last days. The reason for his demise remains unknown. Back in 2021, the actor had spoken to Hindustan Times about his acting journey of 25 years and called it not too bad at all given the current competition in the industry. Even though he got repetitive roles, the State of Seige: 26/11 actor had no regrets about how things shaped up for him.
Vindu Dara Singh (Mukul's Son of Sardaar co-star) confirmed the news to India Today by stating, "After his parent's death, Mukul was keeping to himself. He wouldn't even step out of the house or meet anyone. His health deteriorated in the last few days and he was in the hospital." The actor shared condolences to Mukul's actor-brother, Rahul Dev.
Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai actor Manoj Bajpayee tweeted, "It’s impossible to put into words what I’m feeling. Mukul was a brother in spirit, an artist whose warmth and passion were unmatched. Gone too soon, too young. Praying for strength and healing for his family and everyone grieving this loss. Miss you meri jaan…until we meet again, Om Shanti."
Apart from Hindi, Punjabi and South Indian film industry, Mukul Dev also worked in Bengali films and TV. The actor made his debut with Sushmita Sen's Dastak. He was mostly known for his villain roles, but Mukul did try to break stereotype with every industry. His last role was Anth: The End.
