The Mohit Raina and Konkana Sensharma starrer Mumbai Diaries 26/11 has been receiving lauds across the country for bringing forth a subject that's rarely explored. Their poems, recited by the actors, thanking and encouraging the unsung heroes, were also well-received and appreciated. And now, the makers have dropped a behind the scenes video showing the preparation of the actors for their characters as doctors. The series, which is loosely based on the backdrop of the 2008 Mumbai attacks, also features Shreya Dhanwanthary, Satyajeet Dubey, Natasha Bharadwaj, Mrunmayee Deshpande in key roles.

The latest video begins with Mohit Raina, where the actor says, “There were a lot of projects that happened on this particular subject, but never did they tell stories from a perspective of doctors.” While the director Nikhil Advani reveals in the video, “A big part of the performances are the set pieces where they (cast) actually performed a surgery.” The filmmaker also said that the cast playing the characters of doctors went for two weeks of medical training.

Further in the video, Konkana can be seen giving an injection to a man, while Mohit can be seen learning to stitch up with the body of a real human being. Other actors like Satyajeet, Natasha, Mrunmayee were also seen practising surgeries during the workshop. The Kaafir actor further shared his memory from the shoot and said, “On that particular night, you have terrorists in the hospital, you need to take care of your patients, your colleagues, your staff, you need to keep operating people as well. And emotionally, it was quite draining.”

The lead actor shared a new intense clip from the show on Instagram and captioned, “Witness the story of those who took charge as real heroes!
