Vijay Sethupathi is all set for his Bollywood debut with Santosh Sivan's directorial Mumbaikar, which also stars Vikrant Massey and Tanya Maniktala. Makers have dropped the fun-packed official trailer that has received mixed reactions from movie buffs, however, fans are excited to see the South star in his first Hindi film.

One of Vijay's fans took to Twitter and shared his reaction to the upcoming film and mentioned, "Like every time this time also your dhansu style love you a lot Makkal Selvan (sic)."

Another admirer tweeted, "Waiting early… will watch for sure. This time i will not have to wait for subtitles or dubbed in Hindi… diehard fan of vjs (sic)."

However, a few movie fanatics seemed unhappy with the quality of the trailer video and the way the upcoming movie have been shot. 

One of the Twitter users shared, "coming from India's one of the best cinematographers, this is the most shittiest cinematography I've ever seen and an ever shittier direction. (sic)."

And another one mentioned, "Wishing good luck - Edho kuriyeedu madri iruku. Yes, seeing the trailer they do need any the luck. (sic)."

On the other hand, a few film buffs shared their good reaction to the trailer and praised other actors in the movie as well in the comment section of Jio Studios' YouTube channel.

One of them wrote, "Vijaysethupathi and Vikrant messy Combo Mumbaikar no one cannot replace Director Lokesh kanagaraj managaram movie More over Vijaysethupathi Rocking performance (sic)."

While another one penned, "Vijay sethupati rocks but here Ranveer shourya sounds amazing both will rule the show (sic)."

The anticipated flick film is an official adaptation of the 2017 Tamil-language hyperlink action thriller movie named Maanagaram, directed and written by Lokesh Kanagara.

Mumbaikar, which also has Raghav Binani, Hridhu Haroon, Ishan Mishra and Sachin Khedekar in supporting roles, is all set to have a direct-to-OTT release on Jio Cinema on June 2 for free.
