Munawar Faruqui-Ankita Lokhande become more popular than Salman Khan, thanks to Bigg Boss 17

Munawar Faruqui and Ankita Lokhande have become some of the most popular contestants on Bigg Boss 17. They have been the top two contestants, competing with one another. It has now come to a point where they have managed to beat the host Salman Khan as well in popularity. This is according to a list released by Ormax Media for the month of December.

Munawar in top three

Munawar is the second most popular TV personality. He has been constantly loved on Bigg Boss 17, despite his low phase since Ayesha Khan’s entry. His ranking is proof of that. Kapil Sharma is still the most popular TV personality. Amitabh Bachchan, whose Kaun Banega Crorepati goodbye video went viral, got him in top three. He is the third most popular in the month.

Ankita just misses out on top three

Owing to the viral video featuring Amitabh Bachchan, Ankita Lokhande, the second most loved Bigg Boss 17 contestant, missed out in the top three ranking. The Pavitra Rishta actress became the fourth most loved and beat Salman Khan, just like her co-contestant Munawar.

Salman Khan’s ranking

Salman Khan remained in top five but is the fifth most loved. The host is usually loved for how he conducts the show but in the recent times, he has also received backlash. This happened when netizens felt that Salman was being harsh to the Bigg Boss 17 contestant Abhishek Kumar and tried to break his bond with Munawar Faruqui. In fact, Salman was even able to succeed in doing so to some extent, for fans could see how Munawar refused to talk to Abhishek, while the latter stood by him constantly and continues doing so (even in the most recent nominations task).
