The true-crime Netflix series is about a gang of ladies who claimed to be Akku Yadav's victims and lynched him in the middle of a crowded courtroom. What was the real reason behind this murder? In the middle of a crowded courtroom, a group of ladies lynch a local goon in 2004. A murder in a neglected slum in Nagpur causes a lot of trouble all over the country. The locals gather to share what brought them to the brink eighteen years later.

Bharat Kalicharan was a gangster, a robber, a burglar, a kidnapper, a serial rapist, an extortionist, and a serial killer. He went by the name Akku Yadav.

On August 13, 2004, several hundred women slashed and stoned him before lynching him. He was sprayed with chilli powder, then his p***s was chopped off. All of the women took ownership of the crime, and even though some of them were detained, they were ultimately found not guilty.

Despite the fact that the lynching involved hundreds of women, the State CID had a different account of what happened. Four men carried out the lynching, according to senior police sources, and the women who claimed responsibility were just protecting them. None of the women supported the police account.

According to the police, men and women were there when the lynch mob appeared. On the day of the lynching, BBC News said that about 14 women and a few children broke into the courtroom and killed Yadav with knives.

Before the Netflix series, the incident was the subject of the movie 200: Halla Ho, which debuted digitally on ZEE5 on August 20, 2021. The movie featured Sahil Khatter in the role of the criminal who was lynched.
