Murder In Agonda: Shriya Pilgaonkar and Aasif Khan talk about their on-screen brother-sister relationship

Murder In Agonda, a new Amazon miniTV series with just the right amount of tension and adrenaline, is keeping viewers on the edge of their seats. The story of the show focuses around a killing that occurs in a well-known Goan family. Sarla Salelkar, played by Shriya Pilgaonkar and Sanket Salelkar, played by Aasif Khan are siblings who part of the investigation of the murder and are trying to unravel the mystery. The show had its final episode out today on April 22.

Both stars seem eagerly awaiting to know the reactions of the audience. Meanwhile, they talk about their experience working on the show, particularly playing siblings on-screen.

Each and every character in the series has their own emotional journey, said Shriya in her statement. She added Sarla has a lot going on in her life and finds herself spending some time with her caring brother while attempting to solve a mystery and as she does that, in due time, she comes to terms with some of her own life's truths. She further said that Aasif and Sarla share a wonderful bond, and she doesn't believe they've ever seen a brother-sister team trying to solve a crime before. She is excited to see how the audience reacts when they find out what occurs in the last episode.

Aasif Khan added that the relationship between the siblings is shown in a slightly different light in Murder in Agonda and that it's incredibly sweet and one-of-a-kind. The two actors also had lot of fun during the shoot. “It is a murder mystery that is both serious and intense, but it also includes a lot of fun and light elements,” he said. He is blown away by the positive response to the show and can't wait for the final episode to broadcast since his fans are dying to find out who killed Maya.

Murder In Agonda, is directed by Vikram Rai and featuring Shriya Pilgaonkar, Aasif Khan, Kubbra Sait, and Lillete Dubey, can be streamed on Amazon miniTV within the Amazon Shopping app. The final episode was out on April 22, 2022.
