Murshid: Kay Kay Menon aka 'Bombay ka sultan' is coming soon; here's when the trailer will drop

Kay Kay Menon is ready to treat his fans with his new project, a web series Murshid. The key details about the actor's character aren't known yet. However, it is now known that Kay Kay will be seen as a gangster in Murshid. He plays the titular role of Murshid Pathaan in the series, which will soon stream on ZEE5. The streamer dropped a promotional glimpse of the show, where Kay Kay's character is touted as the 'OG bhai'. The makers also confirmed Murshid's trailer release date.

Murshid trailer to be out on THIS date

The new glimpse by ZEE5 positions Kay Kay Menon as Murshid Pathaan being the 'OG bhai'. Manoj Bajpayee's Bhaiyaji, Shah Ali Baig from Rangbaaz, Amar Pal Singh from Rangbaaz, and Viraj Singh Dagar from Love Hostel are compared to him. However, Murshid is considered as 'Bombay ka sultan'. He is also called the real 'underworld don'. Check out the glimpse below:

While sharing this glimpse, the streamer captioned its Instagram post: "Bombay ka waqt badalne wala hai, kyun ki aa rahe hain, the OG Bhai! Swaagat ke liye taiyaar rehna! Murshid trailer out tomorrow, only on ZEE5 (sic)." The trailer of Murshid will be released on August 20, 2024.

Tanuj Virwani plays a cop in Murshid

While Kay Kay Menon will be seen as deadly gangster Murshid, his co-star Tanuj Virwani plays a tough cop in the series. The actor recently took to his IG account and shared his character poster. Having said that, Tanuj's character name isn't known yet.

Besides Kay Kay Menon and Tanuj, the series stars Vedika Bhandari, Anang Desai, Zakir Hussain, and others in pivotal roles. Murshid will start streaming on ZEE5 on August 30, 2024. You can also watch it with your OTTplay Premium.
