Musafir Cafe: Vikrant Massey co-produces romantic series about love and second chances

During the Netflix India 2026 slate announcement, Vikrant Massey's debut co-produced series, Musafir Cafe, was also announced. It stars Vikrant, Mahima Makwana, and Vedika Pinto in the lead roles and follows two timelines of love and second chances.

Musafir Cafe is an upcoming Netflix romantic drama. Starring Vikrant Massey, Mahima Makwana, and Vedika Pinto, the first look video begins with a tense scene at a cafe where Vedika's character (Sudha) confronts another woman about Vikrant's character, whom she is with, calling him a scoundrel and a sex addict.

Vikrant's character, Chander, tries to laugh it off as a joke, but the situation escalates, leading the woman who was sitting with him to leave. The trailer then shifts to a more sentimental tone, showing various scenes of Chander’s life and his relationships with two different women, Sudha and Preeti. 

The dialogue hints at a complex history where Chander has loved deeply in the past, and these memories continue to influence his current connections. We see clips of her in a variety of settings - from a bookstore and a library to a quiet evening on the swing - which highlight the different moods and stages of this relationship. 

The trailer ends with a philosophical voiceover about how each traveller meets for a reason, some for a short time and some for a lifetime, before ending with the series title and hinting that it's coming to Netflix soon.

Directed by Ruchir Arun and created and written by Sharanya Rajgopal, the series is based on Divya Prakash Dubey’s novel Musafir Cafe. Apart from the lead actors, the series also stars Adil Hussain, Rajeev Siddhartha, Anubha Fatehpuria, Loveleen Mishra, Sadia Siddiqui.
