Musician Dipayan Banerjee and Surangana Bandyopadhyay tie up for a musical journey

Dipayan Banerjee rose to fame with music reality shows. However, the singer then paved his road to success with serious training in music and hard work. Recently, Dipayan tied up with actress-musician Surangana Bandyopadhyay in a musical collaboration. The duo bagged a US tour in October. 

Talking about the collaboration, Dipayan said, “Surangana and I met at a wedding party. I knew her as an actress. When I heard her singing I was surprised. She sings beautifully. One of our friends suggested that we collaborate. Together we have done two music videos and finally, we have a US tour coming.” In October, the duo will be performing in eight to nine cities in the US. 

Besides, Dipayan has two more concerts on his calendar. “I will be going to Canada in July and to Australia in September. After the lull during the pandemic, the situation got better. Live shows and other works are happening,” said the musician. 

Meanwhile, by his own admission, Dipayan has been living in two cities – Kolkata and Mumbai. I get more shows in Kolkata since it is my hometown. And I work more in Mumbai. I have recently tied up with Himesh Reshammiya. One single was released from his channel and four more to come. Along with singles, I am also working on playback. I just sang a song for a Bengali film, Archie’r Gallery,” he said.
