Daali Dhananjaya celebrates his birthday today. The actor, who was last seen in Kotee, is currently in the midst of shooting for his second collaboration with director Rohit Padaki, a two-part gangster tale set in the heartland of north Karnataka, called Uttarakaanda. He’s also got a film with Badava Rascal director Shankar guru lined up, called Anna From Mexico and has been announced as the lead of Daredevil Mustafa maker Shashank Soghal’s next, Jingo.
The action drama directed by Suri, follows Seena (Dhananjaya), a mechanic-turned-gangster and the changes in his life based on his interactions with a few women, played by Niveditha, Amrutha Iyengar and Sapthami Gowda.

Actor Duniya Vijay’s directorial debut had Dhananjaya in a pivotal role as a no-nonsense cop called ACP Samrat, who is tasked with taking down the city’s underworld. The film’s high-points were the interactions between Samrat and Salaga.

A gangster flick based on the life of MP Jayaraj is what Dhananjaya chose as his second production venture. Directed by Shoonya, Head Bush had Dhananjaya in the role of Jayaraj, while the film also had Vasishta N Simha, Loose Mada Yogi, Payal Rajput, Raghu Mukherjee, Sruthi Hariharan, among others on its ensemble cast.

Dhananjaya and Aditi Prabhudeva are star-crossed lovers in this romantic drama. The story follows Krishna (Dhananjaya), a simpleton, who falls in love with a masseuse, Rukku (Aditi) but before they can find their happily-ever-after, he lands in jail. Can the lovers find their way back to each other? The film also stars Yash Shetty, Mayuri Nataraj, Nandagopal, among others.
