Well-known media personality Vrinda Prasad is stepping into the shoes of a producer with a Telugu indie feature film titled Muthayya. The film starring K Sudhakar Reddy, Arun Raj, Mounika Bomma, and Purna Chandra in pivotal roles is directed by a debutant Bhaskhar Maurya. While announcing the news, the team of Muthayya also shared an interesting poster where K Sudhakar Reddy is searching for lice on a youngster's head while sitting on a two-wheeler in a small-town.
Going by the poster launch this week, where K Sudhakar Reddy is standing tall amidst a theatre, the film looks to be a story of an old man, obsessed with cinema, making it big in the industry. 'It's never too late to dream big,' the caption justifies the theme. The makers are quite confident about Muthayya and call it a heartwarming, refreshing story. Divakar Mani, who has cranked the camera for the film, is also its co-producer. Karthik Rodrigeuz is behind the music.
Meanwhile, the film is set to have its global premiere at the UK Asian Film Festival, quite a renowned South Asian Film Festival in Europe. The premiere of Muthayya will be held at Rich Mix, London on May 9. The premiere would be graced by the producer too. The lead actor of the film, K Sudhakar Reddy, had earlier acted in aha's show Kotha Poradu as an elderly man with a weakness for woman. Looks like Muthayya too will unleash the performer in him!
