My Dear Donga - aha greenlits OTT original with Shalini Kondepudi ‘that’ll steal your hearts’, watch promo

Annapurna Studios, one of the oldest production houses in Telugu cinema with an unparalleled legacy, is gradually making its presence in the digital space. After producing multiple seasons of Loser for ZEE5, The Baker and The Beauty for aha and the recently launched web series Vyooham for Amazon Prime Video, they’re now coming up with another wacky OTT original titled My Dear Donga.

My Dear Donga will stream on aha in the coming weeks and the news was confirmed by the Telugu, Tamil OTT platform earlier today. “Ituvanti donganu meeru mundeppudu chusundaru…Evaru aa donga? guess cheyandi.. #MyDearDonga, an aha original, coming soon,” aha shared across its social media handles, promising that the thief is here to steal hearts.

In the video, a television channel confirms that a thief broke into aha’s office. When a police officer arrives to investigate the robbery, employees label him an ‘OTT thief’ while revealing a list of their items that went missing from the office. From coffee powder to noodle packets to lunch box and a coffee mug, the robbery appears trivial, but the team is understandably livid with the thief.

Shalini Kondepudi, who earlier acted in films like Jayamma Panchayati and is working with Suhas for Cable Reddy, plays the lead role in the web show. Maheshwar Reddy is also part of the team. More details about the cast and crew of My Dear Donga will be announced soon.

Meanwhile, aha is coming up with another web series - Karimnagar’s Most Wanted - that’ll stream on December 22. The third episode of the talk show Unstoppable with NBK, where Balakrishna interacts with Shriya Saran, Suhasini Maniratnam and director Harish Shankar will also be out this Friday. Their other major release is Tharun Bhascker’s crime comedy Keedaa Cola on December 29.
