The actor penned a Thank You note for those who wished him on his birthday

Actor Dhanush, who rang in his 39th birthday yesterday (July 28), seems to be overwhelmed with all the love and affection pouring in from across the quarters. The actor, today, took to his social media page to thank all those who wished on his big day. In the note, he said that his fans have been his biggest pillars of support for over two decades.
His note read, "I don't know where to begin from. I want to thank all my well wishers and friends from the film fraternity who took the time out to wish me. I also want to thank all my fans who wished me and a BIG hug for your unconditional love,encouragement and support. My fans have been my pillars of support for the past 20 years and I feel very overwhelmed and grateful seeing all your wishes. See you soon at the movies. "
Fans of Dhanush were in for a pleasant suprise when the team of Arun Matheswaran's Captain Miller, released a new poster from the film late in the evening. Earlier, in the day, Venky Atluri's Vaathi/Sir team had released the teaser of the film to mark the special occasion.
Wishes poured in from across the world. Russo Brothers, the directors of Dhanush's recent release, The Gray Man, wrote on their social media page, "Happy Birthday to our sexy Tamil friend, @dhanushkraja." During the promotions of the film, when one of the journalists asked him what would he tell his younger self, he had said, "I will tell him don't worry about people who are trolling you for your looks.One day a big Hollywood hero will call you ‘Sexy Tamil Friend'." The video recently went viral and since then the actor is being referred as the Sexy Tamil Friend by everyone. The Gray Man recently released on Netflix.
