Despite a mere two-week run on Netflix, My Life with the Walter Boys has already made a major splash. Debuting on December 7, the show has amassed a remarkable 12.8 million views between December 11 and 17, solidifying its position as a major player on the streaming platform by grabbing the #1 spot in the top ten list.

Seems like this ignited Netflix to rush for the second season of the series. The coming-of-age series is based on the WattPad namesake novel, written by Ali Novak.

My Life with the Walter Boys story

The series tells a story about a teenage girl named Jackie. She used to live a fancy life in New York City with her family, but something bad happened and they are all gone. So Jackie moves to the countryside to live with her mom's best friend, who has a whole bunch of kids. It's a big change for Jackie, but she is trying to adjust and still chase her dream of going to college. And maybe along the way, she'll figure out her feelings for two cute guys who are brothers, one smart and one a bit mysterious.

What did creator Melanie Halsall say?

“I am beyond thrilled that My Life with the Walter Boys has been renewed for a second season.” My Life with the Walter Boys creator Melanie Halsall told Tudum, “We have been overwhelmed by the love and support that the audience has given the show, and can’t wait to dive back into the world of Silver Falls and the lives of these characters.”

Netflix announced Season 2

Netflix's Tudum announced the news of Season 2 renewal on their official website, and also shared Noah LaLonde and Nikki Rodriguez’s experiences while shooting for the series. Season 1 holds special memories for the actor-duo, especially the rain-soaked fight at the end of Episode 7. Witnessing the rain towers work their magic to bring the scene to life was a captivating experience for both of them.

Nikki Rodriguez and Noah LaLonde recall their memories

While recalling, LaLonde and Rodriguez shared that both got absolutely soaked filming through the cold night. Despite the crew providing an industrial heater, they ended up soaked to the bone and got drenched.

While Netflix has confirmed My Life with the Walter Boys return, they are keeping the release date under lock and key. Keep an eye out for updates in the coming months
