We had earlier reported that actor Rashmika Mandanna will be starring in the upcoming Telugu film, titled Mysaa. The Pushpa and Animal-fame actor will be starring in the female-centric action entertainer. On Sunday, the makers held a pooja ceremony with the film set to go on floors from Monday.
Mysaa: Action begins for Rashmika Mandanna’s new film
Rashmika Mandanna, whose last release was Kuberaa, is all set to headline a power-packed, female-centric action entertainer titled Mysaa. The film is helmed by Rawindra Pulle in his directorial debut. The film has already generated significant buzz with its intriguing title and striking first-look poster.
Produced by Unformula Films, Mysaa is being mounted on a grand pan-India scale with a high budget. The film was officially launched on Sunday, with Rashmika taking part in the ceremony. While Suresh Babu sounded the clapboard, Ravi Kiran Kola switched on the camera. Hanu Raghavapudi, who handed over the script to the makers, has also done the honorary direction for the muhurtham shot. The regular shoot of the movie commences from Monday in Hyderabad, with Rashmika joining the team in the first schedule.
What do we know about Mysaa so far?
Mysaa promises to be a high-octane emotional action thriller. As per the makers it will take a dive into the culturally rich and captivating world of the Gond tribes. Rashmika Mandanna will be seen in her first action-oriented role, and the actor is expected to go severe training to portray a Gond woman with fierce intensity and emotional depth.
The film will be shot by cinematographer Shreyaas P Krishna, who recently worked on Suriya’s Retro and the stunts will be choreographed by Andy Long, known for his work on Kalki 2898 AD. While the release date and rest of the cast details are yet to be announced, the makers are expected to reveal the music director next.
