#N81: Nayanthara's next is with Ethir Neechal director Durai Senthilkumar

Lady Superstar Nayanthara's next film has been announced. The actress will team up with director Durai Senthilkumar, who had earlier helmed the films Ethir Neechal, Kodi, Kaaki Sattai and Pattas. Though details about the film have not been announced, the first-look poster has Nayanthara's hand caressing the trunk of an elephant. This has led to speculations that the film could be between the relationship between Nayanthara's character and the tusker or around human-animal conflict. The film was announced on the occasion of Nayanthara's birthday yesterday.

The film will be bankrolled by Vignesh Shivan's Rowdy Pictures. Taking to his social media handle, the producer said that he was glad to team up with the director for the first time. He wrote on his social media handle, "Proud To associate with one of the sought after directors #DuraiSenthilKumar @Dir_dsk After churning out some awesome commercial movies First time he’s joining hands with us @Rowdy_Pictures with a brilliant script that will be loved by families & kids #HBDNayanthara (sic)."

Vignesh Shivan also sent out a press note which read, “We are happy to be associated with a versatile filmmaker like Durai Senthilkumar, who has delivered movies that have unique stories, brilliant storytelling and have been well received by critics and proven commercial successes as well. The way he projects women characters with powerful shades in his movies is extraordinary. Personally, I have been a great fan of athlete Shanthi in his Ethir Neechal. When he narrated the script for Nayanthara 81, it was literally amazing and had elements that will savor the tastes of audiences from all walks of life.”

Nayanthara and Durai Senthilkumar had earlier worked in the song Sathiyama Nee Enakku Thevaye Illa in the latter’s directorial debut, Ethir Neechal, which had Sivakarthiekyan in the lead. Meanwhile, Nayanthara has a slew of projects in her kitty including Jawan adn Connect.
