Naa Saami Ranga, the Telugu remake of Joju George’s Malayalam hit Porinju Mariam Jose, is gearing up for a theatrical release globally on January 14. Choreographer Vijay Binni makes his directorial debut with the film that brings together several popular faces including Nagarjuna, Ashika Ranganath, Allari Naresh, Raj Tarun, Rukshar Dhillon, and Mirnaa in lead roles.

The theatrical trailer of the film was launched today. Nagarjuna is cast as Kishtayya, a much-feared figure, a do-gooder known for his violent streak. He has a love life too and a past with a woman - Varalu. Kishtayya is surrounded by two aides - Anji and Bhaskar, who stand by him and support in the hour of need. The tale revolving around rural factions unfolds amidst a Sankranthi backdrop.

The glimpse promises an ideal crowd-pleasing entertainer from Nagarjuna, which capitalises on his ‘casanova’ image and integrates his characterisation with a handful of massy action sequences. There’s a good dose of romance, peppy music, emotions. Vijay Binni does a good job in concealing the plot and yet gives audiences a taste of what to expect from the film.

Multiple songs from the film are out already. If Yethukelli Povalanipistunde is a cute romance number, the title track and the friendship song featuring Nagarjuna and Allari Naresh struck a chord with music lovers. A new single from the film - Dummu Dhukanam - whose promo was out yesterday, will be launched later this week. MM Keeravaani scores the music for the actioner.

Nasser, Rao Ramesh, Ravi Varma, and Harsha Vardhan play other important roles in Naa Saami Ranga. The film is bankrolled by Srinivasaa Chitturi under Srinivasaa Silver Screen. Prasanna Kumar Bezawada has written the story and dialogues for the same. Shivendra Dasaradhi has cranked the camera for the film, while Chota K Prasad and DY Satyanarayana are the editor and the art director, respectively.
