Ekta Kapoor’s Naagin 7 episode 5 was packed with an interesting spin as viewers got a taste of the backstory with Purvi and Aryaman’s budding romance. Purvi poisons Parmeet’s Bhediya

In episode 5, Purvi finally kills Parmeet’s deadly wolf, or Bhediya, with her poisonous tongue in an intense battle. Later, she faints and wakes up with no memory of the incident. When she returns home, her sister Ananta (Eisha Singh) has filed a police complaint about the wolf attack. However, police are surprised to see that Purvi is completely fine even after getting attacked by a wild animal. Parmeet Suri also learns that his pet wolf is killed and becomes furious.

Naagin’s 72 hours

When the clouds turn darker, the Uttaranaagin tells her protege that this bad weather signifies that danger is looming for Purvi (Priyanka Chahar Choudhary), and the next 72 hours are critical for her until she fully transitions into her true avatar.

Ananta’s wedding

Things take a turn for Aryaman’s brother Ravish when his secret affair with politician Mishra's wife gets exposed. Parmeet then tries to rectify the situation as he fixes his marriage with Ananta (Purvi’s sister). Purvi slowly realizes her feelings for Aryaman as she wishes for him to find his true love, even if it means that her love remains unrequited.

Past catches up

Meanwhile, Ananta's father discovers that the Suri family is not the actual Suris but suspects them to be the infiltrators who visited India 24 years ago, coincidentally the time when his friend Suri and his family mysteriously disappeared. The episode ends on a cliffhanger with Mahasapera's entry as he sniffs a naagin in Parmeet Suri’s house.
