Nachiketa visits Satyajit Ray’s house, releases a song on Feluda

It was Satyajit Ray’s birth anniversary on May 2. Like every year, many people visited his house and met his son Sandip Ray and his family. This year, singer Nachiketa Chakraborty, too, went to meet Sandip Ray. A new song on Feluda – Satyajit Ray’s iconic detective character – was released there. 

The song was sung by Nachiketa and written by Abhijit Pal. The song shows how Topshe – Feluda’s cousin and assistant – sees Feluda. Koustabh Chatterjee composed the music. 

The song was released in Ray's house, in front of Sandip Ray. The song is released and fans of Feluda become emotional. 

Nachiketa told Ei Samay about his experience with the program. He said, “It was extraordinary. I never thought the song could be released this way. This day's experience will be my life's asset. I saw Satyajit Ray's books and his other things. This is huge for me. I went out of this passion.” He added, “I am a Feluda fan. Hence I used the stairs instead of the lift. This house is like a pilgrimage to me.” 

Nachiketa said, “After Satyajit Ray, to find such a talent is rare among Bengalis. I told Babuda (Sandip Ray) that next year I will write, do the music, and sing a song on Ray’s birthday.” 

Nachiketa’s songs are close to reality. They make people think. Since 1993, his songs are popular with fans. He also sang in Hindi.
