Dhyan Sreenivasan's Nadikalil Sundari Yamuna is now streaming on a popular OTT platform. The comedy drama, which also stars Aju Varghese in a pivotal role, is available on Amazon Prime Video.
The film, which released in theatres in 2023, began streaming on HR OTT platform. Nadikalil Sundari Yamuna is currently available for free on Amazon Prime Video. Despite this, the movie is still categorised as a "one-time-watch" with plenty of enjoyable moments. The movie is definitely worth seeing on OTT for those who appreciate the charm and relaxed atmosphere of a small-town, rural Malayalam comedy like old times.
Latest Malayalam films such as Vadakkan and Ouseppinte Osiyathu began streaming on the same digital platform. Dhyan's Iyer in Arabia and Kudumba Sthreeyum Kunjadum are also now accessible on Sun NXT.
Set in North Kerala, Nadikalil Sundari Yamuna is a comedy drama about two political opponents and their wedding aspirations. With a plot that combines humour, drama, and satire, the film was billed as evoking the legendary Malayalam comedies of the 1980s and 1990s. However, despite its potential, it failed to live up to the hype following its theatrical release.
Using actress Nayanthara as an example, Dhyan's character Kannan outlines the traits he hopes to find in his future wife in the film's trailer. His pals, however, make fun of him for his choices. Despite his best efforts, Kannan finds it difficult to find a partner who is compatible with him. His friends later assist him in the hunt. The character played by Aju Varghese, who is also looking for a spouse, appears to be at odds with Kannan.
The movie includes Pragya Nagra, Kalabhavan Shajohn, Sudheesh, Sohan Seenulal, Nirmal Palazhi, and Aneesh Gopal in pivotal roles, in addition to the Varshangalkku Shesham stars. The film's cinematographer is Faisal Ali. The movie is produced by Murali Kunnumpurath, whose previous production was Jayasurya's Vellam.
