Nag Ashwin made waves with his film Mahanati. Following the massive success of this project, he embarked on a long journey to create the iconic Kalki 2898 AD featuring Prabhas. The film grossed over Rs 1000 crore at the box office, and the anticipation is already building for its second part.
In the meantime, news has surfaced that before starting work on Kalki Part 2, Nag Ashwin plans to make a smaller film. The highlight of this project is that Mokshagnya, son of Balakrishna, will reportedly play the lead role.
Recently, Mokshagnya was set to debut in a film with Prasanth Varma, the director of HanuMan, but the project was cancelled at the last minute for undisclosed reasons. On the other hand, Balakrishna also confirmed the sequel to Aditya 369, and stated that his son will be seen in the film.
Now that Mokshagnya is free, speculation about his collaboration with Nag Ashwin has gained traction. Known for his innovative storytelling, Nag Ashwin directing a debut film has captured significant attention. While neither party has confirmed the news, the reports have gone viral on social media and within film circles.
On the other hand, there were also reports that Venky Atluri, the director of Lucky Baskhar starring Dulquer Salmaan, had pitched a story to Mokshagnya, which is reportedly in development. Balakrishna, known for announcing major projects on special occasions, is expected to reveal details about his son's debut soon. Whether the debut will be with Nag Ashwin or Venky Atluri remains to be seen. Stay tuned for more updates on this highly anticipated project.
