Naga Chaitanya, the popular Telugu star is now going through an exciting phase in his acting career, with back-to-back promising projects. The popular star recently made his OTT series debut with Dhootha, the Amazon prime show which has opened up positive reviews. Naga Chaitanya is currently busy with the filming of Thandel, the upcoming love story that marks his reunions with popular actress Sai Pallavi, and filmmaker Chandoo Mondeti.

Naga Chaitanya reveals Thandel is inspired by real events
The popular actor, who is all excited about Thandel, opened up about his next project, and his second collaboration with Chandoo Mondeti. “The film is titled Thandel, and we are starting the shoot on December 15th. It is a love story. It is inspired by some events that happened in 2018, in this place called Srikakulam (Andhra Pradesh),” revealed Naga Chaitanya, who stated that he is very excited to be a part of the project.
Naga Chaitanya’s role in Thandel
Interestingly, the Manam actor also spoke about his character in the Chandoo Mondeti film and revealed he is set to appear in a unique role. “The character I’m playing is something I’ve not done before. It is a very dynamic character. So I’m really looking forward to that,” added Naga Chaitanya in his chat with OTT Play.
Naga Chaitanya’s project with Shiva Nirvana
Interestingly, the Dhootha actor also added that he has plans to collaborate with Kushi director Shiva Nirvana project, in 2024. However, Naga Chaitanya refrained from revealing more details about the untitled movie, which is still in its budding stage. However, it has been confirmed that we can expect an official launch, in a couple of months.
The romantic drama which is narrated in the backdrop of the coastal village Srikakulam, reportedly features Naga Chaitanya in the role of a fishing labourer. Leading lady Sai Pallavi, on the other hand, is set to play the role of a fierce young woman who fights for her rights, in Thandel. Both the actors will be trying a new Telugu dialect in the film, which is bankrolled by Allu Aravind, under the banner Geetha Arts.
