Telugu actor Naga Chaitanya recently joined the cast of Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha. The drama, which also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, marks his debut in Hindi cinema.

The actor described this move as “unplanned and organic.” He says that he received a call from Khan one day, and next he then flew to Mumbai to discuss the script, following which he boarded the cast. I don’t think anyone can ever plan a film with Aamir Khan; it has to happen,” Naga Chaitanya tells Deccan Chronicle.

The actor says Khan was impressed with his performance, and thought he was apt for the role in Laal Singh Chaddha.

Speaking about working with Khan, Naga Chaitanya says the actor always puts his best foot forward while on set. He adds that Khan is versatile, has a great attention to detail, and a vast knowledge of various crafts, all that makes him a perfectionist.

Directed by Advait Chandan, Laal Singh Chaddha is an adaptation of the 1994 classic Forrest Gump. The movie was delayed due to the pandemic, but is slated for a Christmas release this year.

Naga Chaitanya will be next seen in Love Story with Sai Pallavi. The trailer for the movie was released recently, and was received positively by the audience. Love Story is set to hit cinemas on September 24.
